About jena

  • What was the route that brought you to Academy by Tribera?

Before starting my final year of studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, I realised that I was particularly interested in the more social side of Psychology instead, especially what triggers influence consumer behaviour, how AI impacts our sociability and what online risks are and why we are all susceptible to them. These topics were part of my Cyberpsychology module, but my main research project analysed how urgency and account history influence behaviour, hence why I realised that getting some hands-on marketing experience would be beneficial for me.

  • What is it about the creative marketing world that genuinely pulls you in?

Personally, my interest towards marketing stemmed from completing online certifications via the Open University, Hubspot Academy and Coursera. These heavily impacted my passion for marketing, and the Tribera Academy was nice for me to put this knowledge into action

  • Why do you want to build your career here in Birmingham?

I would love to build my career in Birmingham as it’s a fast-growing hub for business, creativity and innovation, offering strong opportunities for me to apply consumer and behavioural insights in a dynamic city economy.

  • Where do you want your career to head over the next couple of years?

As a graduate with a strong interest in people, business and consumer psychology, I’m still exploring potential career paths that will allow me to combine behavioural insight with people-focused work.

  • What is something about you that has nothing to do with marketing?

I’ve been collecting the LEGO Architecture collection since I was 7 years old, and have acquired over 20 sets!

How has working with AI changed the way you think and work?

working with ai

It’s been interesting to learn how to use AI as a tool instead of seeing it as a complete barrier, especially when creating a Gem within Gemini to gain insights and generate potential content. Using tools like NotebookLM whilst conducting research, forming strategies and doing creative work has reinforced my ability to analyse information.

Where do you think you will thrive?

strengths and focus

As a psychology graduate, I believe I could thrive in strategy, PR and analytics as they allow me to apply behavioural insight to real world decision-making, and I especially excel in roles where I can understand audiences, shape communication, interpret data and dictate outcomes with evidence-based thinking.

Which technical and professional skills have you sharpened during the programme?

KEY SKILLS MASTERED

I have learnt how to build a Gem using Gemini, create engaging content for a mock YUGO brief, develop channel-specific content strategies and conduct thorough competitor research to inform effective decision-making, particularly in a La Fosse Academy case study.

What kinds of roles and responsibilities are you now ready to take on?

ready for

I am prepared to take on roles that involved analysing consumer behaviour, supporting business decision-making, collaboration and delivering people-focused solutions grounded in strong communication, organisation and psychological insight.
