ACADEMY BY TRIBERA RETURNS FOR 2026 WITH CREATIVE AI TRAINING BUILT FOR GRADUATES WHO WANT REAL AGENCY JOBS

After a 2025 pilot that placed 30% of its cohort into permanent marketing roles within four months, Academy by Tribera is back in June 2026, this time with a creative AI module bolted onto the core curriculum. It's free, it runs for four weeks, and it's built around one stubborn belief: the best way to prepare a graduate for an agency job is to put them inside an agency. 



That belief isn't theoretical anymore. The 2025 numbers gave us something we can stand behind. 30% of last year's cohort secured permanent marketing roles at organisations like Gateley PLC and Croud within four months of finishing. The remaining 70% were either employed, interviewing, gaining work experience, or continuing in education. An independent review by Next Level Recruitment found participants improved their employability skills by an average of 26.9%. 

 

Those are the kinds of numbers you can take to an employer, or a university partner, and have a serious conversation about talent pipelines. 

Why we're adding AI to the curriculum this year 

The conversation around junior marketing roles has shifted. Graduates are anxious about AI displacing them before they've had a chance to build a career. Hiring managers are quietly cutting entry-level headcount because some of the work has become faster to do with the tools than to delegate. Neither group wins if early-career talent disappears from the industry. 

 

Dré Picart, co-founder of Tribera, sees it from both sides. "Breaking into the marketing industry is harder than ever, and we know many young people are worried about how AI is reshaping entry-level roles. That's exactly why Academy by Tribera is evolving. By combining real-world insight and industry experience with hands-on creative AI training, we're giving students and graduates the future-ready skills that employers are actively demanding." 


The new module covers practical applications, not generic prompt theory. Using AI to accelerate research and audience insight. Using it to draft, iterate, and pressure-test creative work. Knowing where the tools genuinely help and where a human still has to make the call. 

 

What does the 2026 programme actually cover? 

The four-week curriculum runs through the disciplines a junior marketer needs to be useful from day one: social media, PR, SEO, content creation, paid advertising, and now creative AI. Participants work inside the agency, on real client briefs, with mentorship from the team that delivers the work day to day. They leave with a portfolio they can show, not a certificate they have to explain.

Why does this matter for the wider industry? 

UK unemployment is forecast to peak at 5.3% this year. ONS figures show unemployment among 16- to 23-year-olds is sitting well above the national average. Layer the AI anxiety on top of that, and you've got a generation of graduates entering a market that's quietly pulling up the ladder. 

 

Emma Neale, Programme Director, Engagement & Development Lead at Aston University, sees the Academy as a corrective. "This is a fantastic enhancement to our practice-based degree at Aston University, giving students the opportunity to gain real work experience within an agency environment while applying their skills and strengthening their employability. Last year's feedback was excellent, and we expect even more students to benefit from Academy by Tribera this year." 

 

Regional employers are increasingly treating programmes like this as a recruitment channel rather than a nice-to-have. We expect more of them to engage with the 2026 cohort directly, and we've built capacity into the programme to support that. 


What's next for the programme? 

The June 2026 cohort is the second annual run with Aston and BCU, but the longer-term plan is to extend the model beyond the existing university pipeline. Discipline-focused short courses are on the table. So is broader industry partnership, particularly with employers who'd rather hire from a pool of work-ready candidates than train from scratch.
